18 Karat Gold. The term “karat” implies to the amount of gold in a particular item. Gold jewelry can vary from 24 Karat to 10 Karat Gold. In fact, 24 Karat Gold is considered 100 % pure gold, while 10 Karat is 41.6% pure gold. A piece of jewelry marked 18 Karat means that it is 75% fine gold.
